We found some cute pics of Shahrukh at the special event which took place yesterday. They were taken and posted by Shrawni. People were able to ask him questions too... He was asked about his fave movie and he said DDLJ (and CDI). But the sweetest thing was when he said his fave actress to work with is none other than Kajol (and Juhi)... Isn't he cute? Thanks to Fasel for that information... Enjoy the pics now:
ZoOm made a countdown of Shahrukh's top 10 leading ladies. Kajol was number one, of course. Thanks to Shahrzad we got a video of that, cut out Kajol's part and uploaded it for you:
Some fabulous news! Kajol and Shahrukh top (almost) every list on an opinion poll made by OutlookIndia.com. Make sure to check out this link and read the following article:
Romance Aaj Kal
In 1995, the year Outlook was launched, twentysomething Aditya Chopra’s maiden film stormed the Indian box office and made cinema-goers fall in love with an entirely new idea of love. Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge reinvented Bollywood romances so decisively that we can neatly divide them into two eras—before DDLJ and after DDLJ. Till then, love in Hindi films had been all about change and defiance. DDLJ upheld peaceful negotiations over belligerent rebellion, and in doing so, instantly connected with both the young and the old. It bridged the generation gap that love stories are meant to widen.
Subsequent romantic films, be it Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Dil To Pagal Hai or Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Jab We Met have built on the DDLJ foundation. Love in Hindi cinema these days doesn’t seem to face external hindrances; it’s all about conquering your inner demons. Love as we once knew it—pure passion—has morphed into something fun and cool.
As already mentioned in our last update we have changed the gallery settings. The 'On the sets of MNIK' album is from now on only accessable and viewable to registered users. If you still want to see the on the sets pics we are posting you have to register. But please remember that you do that on your own risk (spoiler photos!!!)... Many thanks!
Tomorrow is the big event with Shahrukh at Fairmont Hotel in San Jose where you can 'meet' him. It's not for free, you have to pay for it and the prices are ridiculously high. Who could afford $500 just for a pic with Shahrukh (even if he's worth it)? It's kind of pathetic they're using him in order to get money... We're wondering if anyone is going? More information can be found here and here!
Secondly, we have a few more pictures from the sets of MNIK. You can see them in our gallery. Btw, we're planning to make the 'On the sets album' viewable for registered users only because it contains spoiler pictures and we do not want to get into trouble with anybody. We'll inform you about that soon!
Here's a sweet (and pretty long) article we found on a newspaper site of Healdsburg, the town MNIK is being filmed at these days. It may contain small spoilers. Also, there are some pics on that same site: Photos Please note that there are no pics of SRKajol, just the location (the camera team, some 'movie extras' etc.) itself. Beware of spoilers!
Bewitched by Bollywood
Fans descend on Healdsburg to catch glimpse of India's answer to Tom Cruise...
Ducking behind a large truck across the street from a Healdsburg house overrun with a Bollywood film crew, Shalini Chandrahasa explained her infatuation with the film’s star, Shahrukh Khan.
"I just want to see him. That’s all. I don’t even care about getting an autograph."
She had rescheduled a work meeting and taken a long lunch break to drop by the neighborhood around noon. She was back at 4 p.m. in an attempt to catch a glimpse of the actor, who’s "the equivalent of Tom Cruise in India."
"Oh my God! Is that him in the black suit?" she said.
New pics of Shahrukh while unveiling Videocon's new look in SF:
When cartoons went looking for SRK in San Francisco
New Delhi: His fan following across the world is anybody's guess. But what came as a surprise was that two cartoon characters roamed the streets of San Francisco looking out for Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who was shooting in the city.
While shooting there for "My Name Is Khan", Shah Rukh was visited by two green coloured, flubber-like characters Chouw and Mouw who had roamed across the city searching for the actor.
The characters barged into Shah Rukh's van and when they were stopped by the security, they started screaming for the actor who stepped out and surprised the unit by identifying them as his friends from India.
Chouw and Mouw also got him a gift, which was confiscated by the security, who looked at it suspiciously. The gift box contained a switch that Shah Rukh hit to unveil Videocon's green lava-like new logo over the Golden Gate Bridge.
We have not had a Fanarts update since January 2009. It's crazy! Therefore, we uploaded some wonderful creations today. It's a MNIK special, to be exact... We hope you'll like them?!
